Rishon Le’Zion, Israel – September 19, 2016 – BQR, a world leader in Reliability and Maintenance solutions for the EDA market, will be giving two presentations on reliability, maintenance and availability methodologies at ESREL 2016 on September 28th at 11:00 and 14:00.
The presentations will be given by Yizhak Bot, CTO at BQR, and Dr. Amir Segal, apmOptimizer and CARE Product Manager at BQR, based on two articles written for the conference proceedings.
The first presentation, “Integrating reliability and maintenance methodologies to improve asset availability,” describes how reliability and maintenance methodologies can be combined in order to create a holistic model of the asset behavior. The model parameters can then be manipulated in order to find the optimal design that achieves high availability at a minimal lifecycle cost.
The second presentation, “Availability of distributed systems: a new paradigm”, will offer a new approach for availability calculations of distributed systems. The new model accounts for additive contributions to system availability, and is applicable to systems as Oil & Gas facilities, utilities, and plants with multiple production lines.
“I am excited to present our deep knowledge of reliability and maintenance methodologies and models at ESREL. I am confident that our approach can help improve the asset availability of companies in many verticals,” said Yizhak Bot, CTO, BQR.
ESREL 2016 will take place at the at the Technology and Innovation Centre University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, September 25-29. The event brings together researchers and practitioners in safety, reliability, risk, resilience and asset management to look at new approaches for handling challenges in all industry sectors.
ESREL 2016 will include plenaries from leading scientific, business and regulatory speakers, keynote tutorials led by international experts and over 400 contributed papers spanning a range of scientific developments as well as practical applications. The conference joins the professional expertise of the university, the UK Safety and Reliability Society, and the European Safety and Reliability Society.
