Based on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT), BQR’s apmOptimizer™ solution uses Cloud based data collection, performs analysis, and issues Predictive Maintenance instructions through the corporate SAP
Rishon Le’Zion, Israel –May 3rd – BQR, a world leader in Reliability and Maintenance engineering software solutions for the RAMS & ILS markets, will perform a demonstration of Optimization of Maintenance Engineering Models for Mekorot, Israeli’s National Water Company, with apmOptimizer, the Next-Gen software package that creates an analytical model of the asset behavior over time, generates the optimal maintenance concept for the asset and cuts the Life Cycle Cost.
Mekorot operates complex pumps and systems requiring highly effective maintenance. Generally, water facilities tend to suffer various levels of component wear, generated by contaminated water, corrosion, dust particles, vibrations, temperature, etc. The wear leads to unexpected failures, costly reactive maintenance and impaired production and availability. Failures may also have major long term consequences such as water contamination, and therefore must be avoided.
BQR will demonstrate an advanced maintenance model for Mekorot in the Jordan District, which will ensure optimal performance of its systems and minimize failures. BQR’s solution is based on its apmOptimizer software, offering improved test scheduling, spares, repair level analysis, as well as accurate resource and manpower planning.
Based on the Industrial Internet of Things (IIOT), the apmOptimizer solution uses a wide range of sensors for cloud based data collection. It then performs Data Analysis and provides a user friendly dashboard which presents Components’ State of Health (SoH), Remaining Useful Life (RUL) and Alerts regarding approaching failures. The solution interfaces Mekorot’s SAP system, with an MMI (Machine-Machine Interface), for the purpose of receiving data and issuing maintenance instructions.
apmOptimizerTM includes a unique analytic algorithm, which uses the collected data to optimize the maintenance strategy including Predictive Maintenance (PdM), spare part provisioning, central/ distributed / forward / local spare location policy and repair/discard policy.
“Using our unique IIOT based technology, Mekorot will enjoy a significant reduction of maintenance costs while achieving high asset availability and performance, said Yizhak Bot, CTO, BQR. “Moreover, the interface with their SAP system will perform all required actions automatically, further streamlining the maintenance process.”
“We are proud to bring our water facilities another step toward a Next Generation utilities maintenance model,” said Yossi Yaacoby, Director of WaTech® the center of innovation of Mekorot, Mekorot. “With BQR’s solution, we will be able to add a new management maintenance layer which will ensure high quality, efficient and reliable services for the long term.”
