BQR analyzes availability of pumps system for Israel’s national water company Mekorot
Introduction
BQR collaborated with Israel’s national water company Mekorot regarding availability of main water pumps at the Eshkol water filtration plant.
The pumping station consists of eight pumps that have a capacity of 75,000m³/hour and a lifting capacity of 15 meters.
The facility is an integral part of the national water supply system, and is required to provide capacity according to varying water demand.
Challenge
Analyze historic failure and maintenance records from SCADA and SAP-ERP, and produce a pumps reliability and availability model, accounting for various scenarios of capacity demand and maintenance policies.
Solution
Using BQR-Digital Field Data Analysis and apmOptimizer software, the analysis was successfully completed, accounting for the required amount of operating pumps in different scenarios, and probability for depletion of the distribution reservoir (The reservoir has a capacity of 130,000m³).
